Carel has over 40 years financial services industry experience having worked as the COO of several multi-billion-dollar origination, sales and trading businesses at UBS Investment Bank, Head of Change Management, Group Sales, at Deutsche Börse, interim CFO/COO for a technology-focussed start-up PE firm, senior advisor to the Executive Chairman and Board of an impact-investing VC firm and a management consultant at PwC.
Carel is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT). Currently, he is the Finance Committee Chair and Board Sustainability Lead of a five school Multi Academy Trust in east London, ACT Council member and the coauthor and lead tutor of the ACT’s Certificate in Sustainable Finance for Treasury.
